On March 29, 2016, China US Health Alliance invited China Life Insurance Group and Vantone Group to visit University of Miami Health System.
China Life Insurance Group is the largest life insurance company in the country, with about 30% market share and US$ 400 billion under management. China Life announced in 2015 to set up a healthcare fund of US$ 8 billion to invest in health services, senior care, pharmaceutical, medical device and other health related sectors in the next five years. China Life Insurance Group also plans to acquire international assets and expand its health insurance operations both domestically and aboard.
Vantone Group is a pioneer and leading commercial real estate developer in China. It is also involved in the rebuilding of 7 World Trade Center in New York City and currently occupies the top floor of the main World Trade Center tower.
The visiting group met with Trustee of University of Miami, leadership of the UM Miller School of Medicine, clinical and management teams of the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami Transplant Institute, Fertility Center, Cardiovascular Center, Neurology and Neurosurgery programs.
Both parties discussed potential partnerships in healthcare management, investment, patient care and education programs.
China US Health Alliance also organized a meeting for the visiting group with Flagler Investment Property Group, a medical real estate investment and development company.
